I can’t resist sharing this unbelievable story of coincidence, in fact it is such a coincidence that it makes you wonder if there is indeed someone up there having fun, plucking our strings and making us dance together like marionettes on a stage!

This of course will only be of interest to those of you who follow the fashion World in all its minute detail of glamorous gossip, intrigue or otherwise! Please feel free to skip this blog if the later is a yawn.

So here it is… I spent a wonderful couple of days at Christmas catching up with 35 of my extended family from all over the globe, we were together for the first time in years. One of my fabulous cousins who is a creative in London and I were catching up as you do! It turns out that she was chatting to her neighbour just before she left, who has a studio next to hers in London. She mentioned that she was going home to New Zealand for Christmas. Her neighbour then said something along the lines of “really you don’t happen to know a NZ designer named ****”? and my cousin said ”yes” and then her neighbour said “you don’t happen to also know a designer named Tamsin Cooper then too”? My cousin then said “absolutely! she is my cousin and I am seeing her at Christmas!” I couldn’t believe it, my cousin’s neighbour is none other than the German designer for Top Shop Markus Lupfer who was mentioned in the media in relation to Trelise Cooper’s show at Fashion Week back in September 2009…

Who would have thought the World was that small huh?
